To Our VFC Players and Parents,
Even though our last season ended in March, myself and the coaches have been planning ever since how to make the 2019/20 season even better for you. Our theme for this season is #VFCIsOurHome. Our summer and pre-season program is all about the VFC club culture, about players bonding tightly together and how we can bring that club culture into our Vancouver community.
New this year, we have two club event days with a bbq going, music and an opportunity for teams to fundraise. It will be great to have everyone playing at one place on one day, with coaches and families all around, something we don’t get to do during the regular season.
Around those club event days, there are more on-field practices in pre-season, and some exciting new things to do at Richmond Oval. However, make sure you do the summer (or pre-pre-season) fitness program that’s in here, too. It will make your return to soccer much easier in August. And don’t forget to stay hydrated and eat to stay fit…
I’m really excited about the upcoming season, and am looking for great things from the players in the coming months. Let’s aim higher than ever - and bring that success home.
